The Senior Ministry of South Phoenix Baptist
Church consists of seniors aged 55 and older.
We call ourselves “The Golden Steppers”.
Members of the Golden Steppers get together
on a regular basis for various activities such as
going on day trips sightseeing or visiting
various places of interest. Occasionally we go
on over‐night trips, and have appeared on two
television shows, “The Price Is Right” and “Let’s
Make A Deal”. We go to movies, ball games,
plays, museums, shopping excursions, etc. We
are all retired, and get together regularly for a
variety of fun activities.
We have one‐hour exercise classes every
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m.
until 11 a.m., in our Fellowship Hall. During
the exercise hour, we walk in place for the first
15 minutes, then do another 30‐45 minutes of,
believe it or not, “strenuous” chair exercises.
After these exercises, we all feel G‐R‐E‐A‐T!
On the 3rd Wednesday of each month we meet
to discuss business, plan activities, and
celebrate birthdays.
